Bizen City, Japan and Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council are gearing up to celebrate their 33rd sister city anniversary.
Despite pandemic disruptions to their 30th celebration, both cities are excited to commemorate their enduring partnership.
The two communities have shared cultural experiences and hospitality over the years, fostering a strong bond.
In 2015, a Torii gate was erected at Gleeson Wetlands as a symbol of friendship.
Now, a new monument will be unveiled on August 22 at the Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council office garden.
The unveiling will be followed by a complimentary sausage sizzle.
