The Adelaide Rural Clinical School is Celebrating 20 Years of Rural Healthcare.

The school has helped combat rural doctor shortages, starting with 10 students in 2003.

The program has expanded to over 40 participants annually, spanning multiple communities across regions like Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Pirie.

Dr. Henry Lam, an alumni of the program, say the program plays the crucial role in addressing rural healthcare gaps, emphasizing the need for skilled doctors in underserved areas.

The program also boasts a figure of 70% of the rural-based graduates staying to serve SA’s rural communities.
