Port Pirie gets a funding boost

FUNDING.jpgPort Pirie’s city centre upgrade and the City Park Project, have been announced as two central beneficiaries in the latest round of State Government released funding.
$446,010 will be injected towards the two projects, while the Port Pirie Regional Council has also announced it will contribute more than $500,000- towards the project-bringing the total value to close to 1$ million.
Independent Frome MP and Cabinet Minister Geoff Brock, congratulated the council on its commitment to the city, and says the project will improve public space in the central business district.
Mr Brock says Port Pirie is undergoing major transformation, and the council is continuing to improve its facilities and its presentation.
