Horrocks Highway has been named one of the riskiest roads in South Australia, according to a survey completed by the RAA.
RAA Senior Manager Road Safety Charles Mountain says the main concerns include the undulating and rough surface, pot holes and crumbling edges.
Road users claim the hazard signs put in place are only masking the road safety problems.
Mr Mountain says survey respondents also claim that overtaking is a significant issue during harvest and peak tourist seasons.
$7.6 million has already been spent on black spot upgrades, resurfacing works and shoulder resealing on and near Horrocks Highway.
An extra $1.3 million has been allocated for shoulder sealing south of Yacka.
