Taylors Wine awarded 2016 Wine of the Year

Clare Valley winery Taylors Wines has been presented the top prize by the World Association of Wine Writers and Journalists for its 2012 St Andrews Shiraz.

The Shiraz was awarded the 2016 Wine of the Year award which is recognised across the world.

The Shiraz was released in 2014 and has tallied an impressive 25 gold medals and one trophy from wine shows both in Australia and abroad.

Managing director Mitchell Taylor said the winery was honoured and humbled to be recognised by the World Association of Wine Writers and Journalists.

Mr Taylor said to not only remain as one of the top five most awarded wine producers, but to take the top spot as most awarded wine in the world is an exciting accomplishment.

Taylors Wines latest awards from the World Association of Wine Writers and Journalists means the winery has received a milestone of 200 gold medals for the 2016-17 financial year.
